Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Playstation 2 Video Game $40

The original Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi saw tremendous commercial success, selling more than a million units in Europe and North America. Following up on that is, of course, a sequel, Tenkaichi 2 for the PlayStation 2.

As a fighting game, Tenkaichi 2 aims squarely for a mainstream audience with its focus on presentation. As you jump, punch, shoot, and slam your enemies, there will be frequent pauses for you to admire the special graphics effects.

This style of presentation gives the game a more epic look and feel, similar to the style that's made the anime series so popular worldwide. Environmental damage and the ability to transform your fighter into a larger version are features that will also accentuate the visuals and gameplay. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Playstation 2 video game is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Tenkaichi 2 features an exhaustive list of 100 playable characters. You are able to choose your favorites like Goku, Vegeta, and Buu, as well as more obscure characters as you make your way through the extensive story mode. The plot spans much of the franchise's lore, from Saiyan Saga all the way to the end of the Dragon Ball Z GT movies.

Unlike many fighting games that simply show both players on the same screen, Tenkaichi 2 offers a unique split-screen mode, with the screen split vertically down the middle. While this seemed to limit our lateral vision, the player character was still in full view. Also, this view allowed for more vision above and below. Being able to see higher or lower is important because of the ability of all the characters to jump high into the air.

We played on a desolate canyons/badlands map, one of the 16 different battlefields in the game. This particular map doesn't show off any of the interactive environment, but it is definitely large and wide open, with a few mesas that you can use to maneuver around and hide behind to foil ranged attacks. The characters we played had a good number of combos and special attacks. But since the characters have relatively large life bars, the fights in Tenkaichi 2 seemed to take longer than in a typical fighting game.

Aside from head-to-head and story modes, there is also a tournament mode in the game.

DragonBall Z - DVD Movie 13: Wrath of the Dragon $16

An ancient evil has been unleashed. Hope is diminishing, and not even Goku seems to be able to end this reign of terror. Time has become a vicious enemy and with the world at stake, someone must step up and fight…but who?

Well let's start with the basics. The real title of this movie is "The Explosive Dragon Fist". It's about Hildegarn, who by the way isn't a dragon. Anyway the move gives no real hints as to its chronology within the dragonball z story line other than the fact that Gohan is already doing the whole Great Saiyaman thing so it's probably after movie 12. (duh)

I'm too lazy to explain the entire story from beginning to end but here's the readers digest version: On a far away planet called Konats in a far away galaxy that's really far away, some idiots practicing black magic wished for their big ugly evil idol to be brought to life (aka a mix between Pinocchio and Godzilla). DragonBall Z DVD Movie 13 Wrath of the Dragon is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Anyway the beast they brought to life was called Hildegarn. He's unstoppable about a day, when two kids use their magic flutes to weaken him (wow they pick up weaknesses fast on that planet). Then they use magic swords to cut him in half (wow some fast blacksmiths on this planet too). Somehow the flutes trap the two halves (head to waist/waist down) inside their bodies.

Then finally the enders get involved and decide that the two brothers who saved the planet should be locked in music boxes and sent to the two ends of the universe. (gee interesting way of showing gratitude). Moving on, the two brothers (Tapion and Minoshiyal) are sent to the far ends of the galaxy.

About 1,000 years later, one of the dudes that brought the beast to life, who had been traveling from planet to planet looking for the brothers, found the younger brother and killed him. (Minoshiyal, cuz who wants to base a story around a person with a name that's hard to pronounce) Thus the lower half of Hildegarn was released. (legs and tail)

Later the evil guy finds Tapion's music box and goes to earth, where he tricks Gohan into using the dragon balls to free Tapion, who has a hard time keeping the upper half under control. (If he falls asleep, it escapes and tries to kill him) But freeing Tapion meant the super special music box which kept Tapion locked away was destroyed. So to help him, Bulma tries to construct a new one but it doesn't work.

Tapion, thinking it's ok to sleep, falls asleep and the upper half of Hildegarn unites with the lower half and the full Hildegarn reeks havoc on the town. The Z-squad tried and fails to beat it, then Goten and Trunks fuse and goof around, then after being yelled at by Piccolo, they attack Hildegarn and it seems like they've won. But (dun dun dun) Hildegarn sheds his ugly skin like a beetle and becomes even uglier than before (if that's possible). The only difference is that now, he has wings. Yay.

So anyway he kills more stuff and at the last minute when all hope seems lost Goku goes Super Saiyan 3 and says some cheesy line before doing this awesome punch (evidently a dragon fist) where he flies up in the air and the dragon that comes out when someone summons the uses the dragon balls (the ones on earth) appears in gleaming gold like Goku's hair, and flies right through Hildegarn's torso, leaving a giant hole the size of the roman coliseum, which obviously kills him. So yea, yay, Goku won as if you had any doubts.

I know it was a bit long but it's a complicated story. There are a lot of other details I left out so you wouldn't be reading an article the size of a harry potter book, but when the movie comes out, it'll just be more interesting to watch.

Dragon Ball Z: Broly Triple Threat (3 DVD Pack) $20

Any DBZ movie is normally worth a watch. Broly is worth a jaw drop. I love watching the Z Fighters take on this 'Hulk'.

Like most villains, he doesn't go down easily, but, unlike the other villains, he has three movies all about his fury. If you're like me, then you knew they would collect this series in a three pack. Surprisingly, the price is right. Dragon Ball Z Broly Triple Threat 3 DVD Pack is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Three for Twenty is a dream. Of course, cheaper is normally better. Save your money if you have any of this 3 pack already. Fill in the rest from those who bought one and wanted the 3 pack.

Dragonball Z Chibis Action Figure 3 Pack: SS Vegito - Majin Buu - SS3 Goku $20

Little guys with attitude! 2"mini figures of your favorite Dragonball characters!

Vegito was unbelievably strong in his natural state, but when he transformed into a Super Saiyan, his power went off the scale. His abilities were so incredible that even after Buu turned him into a piece of hard candy, he remained as strong as ever.

Majin Buu was conjured into existence long ago by the evil wizard Bibidi . A powerful fighter who has destroyed many planets in his past, Majin Buu’s body is rubbery giving him great advantage in battles. Dragonball Z Chibis Action Figure 3 Pack SS Vegito, Majin Buu and SS3 Goku are included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Krillin was Goku's rival in DB and becomes his best friend and most reliable ally in DBZ. He is one of the first warriors to go to Namek for the Dragon balls and his death enables Goku to go SSJ. He also later marries Android #18 and has a daughter named Maron.

Dragonball Z American Dende Action Figure $40

First off I'd have to say this is an excellent figure. This is Goku's wife. The sculpt is done nicely. The Facial expression is happy and perky. The hair is very well done.

She has ball joint arms and is wearing her signature purple dress. She looks very close to the anime. Dragonball Z American Dende Action Figure is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

I would recommend this figure to any DBZ collector out there.

She is also very rare.

Dragon Ball Z - Fusion Reborn DVD Movie 12 $17

Attention Dragon Ball fans! After a couple of rather lame Broly sequels, boy are you in for a treat. Everything I've seen in Fusion Reborn is good news. Dragon Ball Z Fusion Reborn DVD Movie is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Here's ten reasons why you should give FR a look:

1. Even though Hell opens up in this movie, Broly is nowhere in sight. Thank goodness!
2. Frieza comes back to Earth, although at this point, Gohan is probably able to pound him back into Hell with his little finger. Still, it's a reminder of the early days of DBZ when Frieza was actually scary.
3. Also emerging from the nether regions is another legendary villain, Adolph Hitler (no kidding!), complete with his zombie Third Reich army.
4. Goku's new best friend in the afterlife, Pikkon, comes to lend a hand in the big fight in the spirit world.
5. Leading the fight on Earth is Gohan, who makes his first movie appearance as Saiyaman. Videl appears as Saiyagirl but doesn't do much except copy Gohan's weird poses. Oh well.
6. More comic relief stuff from Goten and Trunks. This time around, they fuse into Gotenks.
7. Still more comic relief stuff from Hercule, who actually does a pretty good job pounding Hitler's zombie army.
8. Which came first, Gogeta or Vegito? If we're to believe this movie, it's the former. Soon before Goku and Vegeta fused as Vegito to fight Buu on Earth, they fused as Gogeta in the spirit world to fight this movie's main villain.
9. Oh yeah, the main villain. His name is Janemba but he's a lot like Buu. Well, O.K., he hatches from a washing machine (LOL) rather than an egg. But like Buu, he starts out like a big, fat toddler and then turns scary.
10. Broly's not in this one...oops, I think I mentioned that!

Only one more DBZ movie to go. From what I hear, Movie 13 is great too. One thing that happens is that Trunks gets his sword (the one he sliced Frieza in half with).

Super Dragon Ball Z Playstation 2 Video Game $27

Over the years, Akira Toriyama's Dragonball Z anime series has been one of the most popular ones out there. And when it arrived in America, the popularity only skyrocketed. As such, it's not surprising that there are plenty of video games based on the series. Unfortunately, these have been a hit or miss affair.

For every Budokai, there's a Saga to drag the series' video game reputation back down into the gutter. This game employs the creation talents of Noritaka Funamizu, producer of the classic Street Fighter II. How does his experiment with this series work?

The game features one and two player options, numerous characters, stages, customizable character mode, and a ton of unlockables. In addition, the game features a unique, newly-designed combat engine.

To sum it up - this game impressed me. Hell, it even impressed a lot of the critics, reviewers, magazines/etc. that normally hate anything that bares the Dragonball Z name! It's a unique gaming experience, and despite some obvious shortcomings, one of the best games to come about in this series in a long time. Super Dragon Ball Z Playstation 2 video game is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

The most obvious good thing about this game is a new fighting engine. The engine is the brainchild of Street Fighter II producer Noritaka Funamizu - and he does for Dragonball games the same thing he did for Street Fighter - makes it good. The new fighting engine is simple to learn but difficult to master, making it an ideal one to use in a game.

The commands are simple - jump, strong attack, weak attack, dash, dash attack, and so forth. You can traverse the foreground and background as well, giving the game a two-and-a-half dimension feel. Environments you can play on are diverse and only add to the excitement. They are interactive settings, and you can use the terrain to your advantage.

In addition to numerous stages and characters you can choose from, there are a number of unlockable ones as well. Only adding to the fun is the customization mode. You can pick a fighter and build their experience points, and choose their moves and such as you gain experience. The game even features some characters not normally playable in DragonBall Z games - including Chi Chi! The cel-shaded graphics are excellent as usual. It's definitely the best Dragonball Z game since the third Budokai.

No Dragonball Z game is perfect, and this is no exception. The small character roster is my biggest complaint. I'm all for including lesser known and appreciated characters like Chi Chi, but to include them at the expense of fan favorites like Broly is unforgivable. You really only get the principle cast, sadly. The game is generally focused around the Cell era, and as such, that's where most of the characters come from, meaning you miss out on some of your favorites from other eras, like Captain Ginyu and Dabura.

The fighting engine also takes some getting used to. I LIKE this fighting engine, no questions asked, but it's confusing at first and has its frustrating moments. Personally, I think the company should have made another Budokai game or something that used the Street Fighter II engine - NOT something in between. You'll also find yourself wishing there were more gameplay modes, content, and customization options. Fortunately, the good DOES outweigh the bad here.

Overall this is a good Dragonball Z game - something there aren't enough of on the market today. If you're a fan of the series and want one that actually does justice to the legendary anime series, Super Dragonball Z is just what you need. It's one of the best fighters based on the series. I strongly recommend it!

Dragonball Z Oob Vol. 36 Action Figure $30

The real Buu is back and turns himself into Oob a 10 year old boy.

Ubuu (Oob)- reincarnation of evil Boo. He is one of the good guys and went to train with Goku. When fat Boo was killed by Baby, Boo's particles fused back with Ubuu; they were originally one. Ubuu also won Sataan's title as the world's best fighter.

Uub is the reincarnation of the demon Majin Buu. After Goku defeated Buu, he wished that he would come back as a good person so that they could fight again due to Buu's passion to fight. Seven years later, Goku was expecting to see Buu reborn at the next World Martial Arts Tournament because King Yamma of Other World heard his wish and granted it. Dragonball Z Oob Vol 36 Action Figure is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

As it turns out, Buu was reborn as a young black kid from a poor village and entered the competition to earn money for food and water for his family. He was shy, timid, wimpy, but pure of heart, keeping his family needs in mind although he thought he would lose in the Tournament. To get him started Goku the boy, cracking on his parents, bringing out Uub's anger (much like Gohan in his younger years) and proved to be Goku's equal in his normal Saiyan state.

When Goku realized that Uub didn't know how to control his power, he decided to train him in case that Goku died, there would be someone left to protect earth.

Dragonball Advanced Adventure Game Boy Advance Video Game $30

.....Here we go again!!!!!! Another game i purchased without reading a review or hearing someone else's response who already owns the game. I clicked the pic above and purchased it pretty much a few days after its release.

It seems most Dragon Ball Z Games have been getting pretty good feedback since the Playstation 2 era started. But most of them have been 1 on 1 fighters which I cant stand. So this game is another Side-Scroller Action Adventure Beat Em Up in the same tradition as the last Dragonball GT Transformation.

But it seems to have a better quality about it. Nothing trend setting or revolutionary but does its hand at lending a variety of styles into one game. It's a Final Fight but with Dragonball characters. I've only played about 4 stages. Pretty fun & I hope they keep rolling them out =)

Dragonball Z Series 9 Action Figure Babidi Saga Babidi with Cocoon Egg $20

Fans of the Dragon Ball Z card game will find a lot to like in this action figure set. It comes with a Babidi figure, a 7-star Dragon Ball Z card (which means it's ultra-rare), and three of the plastic orange dragon balls themselves--each with a different star count.

The Babidi figure is only 3 inches tall, although just about as wide across, and can only move his thick neck and twig like arms, but has a lot of great detail. His green onion-shaped head is decorated with black speckled stubble and pale green bug like eyes. Dragonball Z Series 9 Action Figure Babidi Saga Babidi with Cocoon Egg is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

He comes dressed in a blue soft-plastic skirt and an orange cape which can be removed. His face is twisted into a cackle that exposes his tongue, and his hands grasp the air like he's about to cast a spell or do some other devious deed.

The set also comes with a Cocoon Egg, which looks a bit like a pink litchi fruit with lots of bumpy bits and a yellow stripe around its middle--all that a kid needs for a pretend-play break from the stunningly complicated card game.

Dragon Ball - The Saga of Goku - Boxed DVD Set $27

First of all, let me say this: If you're planning on clicking the pic above and getting this set to see the version of the first 13 episodes that aired Cartoon Network, you're sorely mistaken. These episodes were dubbed in 1995, and are fairly different from the newer incarnation. Not only are they heavily censored, but they are dub-only, and the discs are poorly encoded to boot.

Funimation can't release an uncut version of these particular episodes, because KidMark still holds the rights to them. However, since the 1995 dub only went to episode 13, the remaining 140 episodes of Dragon Ball can be found uncut in the other "_____ saga" DVD sets. Dragon Ball The Saga of Goku Boxed DVD Set is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

First and foremost in the differences between the new and old dubs: the music. Although the redub from Funimation uses the original Japanese score and English arrangements of the original themes, this uses its own score. The theme's kinda catchy, and reminds me a bit of the ending theme to Mystical Adventure (movie 3), but the music in general reeks of a generic "American cartoon" quality that doesn't fit the series too well. It's mainly this that gives it a feel quite apart from the new version.

Then there's the voices. Some of them will seem familiar to you if you've seen the first two dub seasons of DBZ, or live in the part of the world that shows the International DBZ dub instead of Funimation's. In general, they're pretty good, but hard to get used to after all these years of hearing Funimation's voice actors in these roles. The pronunciation that this dub used for "Kamehame-ha" gets pretty annoying, too.

The scripts are fairly accurate outside of the censorship (which there's a lot of), but there are also the classic jokes-that-fall-flat typical of anime dubs aimed at children. Also worthy of note is that many of the lines from this dub carry over into at least the edited version of the new one, though there are some changes in the redub to bring it in line with the rest of FUNimation's releases.

Censorship in this set is, for the most part, roughly equal to that of the version showed on Cartoon Network. It's in different areas, though. Cut-wise, a little more of the video is left in, but it's made-up for in some completely ridiculous use of digital paint and bad script rewrites. There's even some extra footage thrown in the first few episodes, and added recaps in most of them (since true previous-episode recaps didn't really start until about episode 22 or so).

One example of the goofy censorship in this version: Goku catches a fish in the first episode. In the re-dub seen on Cartoon Network, Goku is naked, though much of the scene is cut. In this version, all of the scene is left in, but Goku is wearing very poorly-drawn digital underpants.

One major digital censor that carries over into the newer edited version is the use of American dollars on the fishing pole in episode 5 to catch Oolong (instead of Bulma's panties); you may notice that, when the episode airs on Cartoon Network, Goku dives into the water nude, but is suddenly wearing underpants when he surfaces, due to the re-use of some (but not all) of the older dubs footage for that one scene.

The feature "Curse of the Blood Rubies," though touted as a "pilot" for the series, is actually a dub of DB movie 1, "Shenron no Densetsu" ("The Legend of Shenlong"), with some footage from episode 2 thrown in. I'm not quite sure why this was done, though it was probably either to replace a very perverted scene or just balance out the amount of cuts from the film... probably both.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend clicking the pic above and getting this if you like Dragon Ball for its off-color and oft-perverted humor; the newer "saga" DVD sets will suit you fine. The jury is still out as to when these 13 episodes will appear uncut on DVD, but even so, only get this set if you're really itching to see what Funimation intended all of the Dragon Ball franchise to be like when they first set out to dub the series: a mere shadow of its original self, aimed squarely at kids far too young to appreciate Akira Toriyama's quirky sense of humor.

top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and gamesDBZ Supersonic Warriors 2 Video Game $19

Platform: Nintendo DS

Become the greatest warrior in the universe!

This game has lots of strong spots in it and some weak spots.

The game has over 30 characters all with good graphics. One of the weak spots is the part in story mode where you have to unlock Broly. It took me an hour to even figure out how to unlock him.

In the game there is a part called free battle where you get to pick out your characters. You can also have up to three characters. Out of all my games this is probably my favorite one. DBZ Supersonic Warrior Nintendo DS Video Game is in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games reviews where you can buy by clicking the pic above.

This game is the best DBZ game for a handheld system ever! It has awesome graphics and even more awesome characters. It surpasses the first Supersonic Warriors with more characters, longer story modes, and new special attacks and TEAM ATTACKS.

The only downside is the fact that there is no shop, taking away replayability. U can't unlock songs, galleries, or anything other than characters. Overall a GREAT game.

Dragonball Z Series 7 (Unstoppable Heroes) Movie Collection 9" Action Figure SS Vegeta $30

Vegeta was once prince of the planet Vegeta. His father was King Vegeta and his mother is unknown. Saiyans are a bloodthirsty race and Vegeta was a fine example of one.

When he was young, a creature named Furiza took over planet Vegeta, and later destroyed it and everyone on it.. luckily, (or unluckily) Vegeta was on Furiza's ship at the time, and did not die with the rest of the Saiyans.

Vegeta, with the two other Saiyans who had survived, Raditsu and Nappa, was under Furiza's control for many years, until Raditsu was sent to Earth to find his brother, Goku, and was destroyed, but not before he let Vegeta and Nappa know about the DragonBalls. Dragonball Z Series 7 Unstoppable Heroes Movie Collection 9" Action Figure SS Vegeta is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Hungry for power, they set a course for Earth, only to find they were no match for Goku. Vegeta killed Nappa after making a fool of himself, but despite how strong he was compared to his partner, Goku still beat him, and Vegeta left Earth already planning his revenge.

After another unlikely turn of events on the planet Namek, Vegeta ended up back on Earth, and eventually learned to put up with all the "weak Humans." Vegeta first goes Super Saiyan while fighting androids #19 and #20, and has two children, Trunks and Bura, with the most unlikely person, Bulma.

Dragonball Z Saiyan Saga Action Figure Master Roshi with Turtle $20

A perennial presence in the world of DragonBall, certified Turtle Hermit Master Roshi normally lives in a cozy cottage on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean.  Goku and Bulma first meet Master Roshi in their quest for the Dragon Balls. He first helps Goku in his quest by introducing him to Nimbus, the magical flying cloud that will become one of his best friends.

Only those with pure hearts can stand atop the Nimbus, and Nimbus seems to enjoy the lighthearted innocence of Goku. He also helps later on by extinguishing the burning Fire Mountain, allowing Bulma to recover another Dragon Ball.

After the initial search for the Dragon Balls, Goku returns to the island to begin training under him, not realizing that someone else was looking for the same thing. After a little competition, Master Roshi decides to train both Goku and Krillen together. Dragonball Z Saiyan Saga Action Figure Master Roshi with Turtle is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Though his regimen seems unorthodox, there is method behind everything he does, and just a month of training improves the both of them dramatically...to the point that he had to enter the martial arts tournament himself (with a wig on and under the pseudonym Jacky Chon) to keep them from winning.

Despite his seeming frailty and desire to hit on and sneak risqué peeks at pretty ladies, Master Roshi is a highly-accomplished martial arts master who can easily call forth his skill and techniques when necessary. He is also the inventor of the Kamehameha wave which Goku would later copy and adopt (with surprising ease).

Dragonball Z Chibis Action Figure 3 Pack: SS4 Goku - SS4 Vegeta - SS4 Gogeta $30

Little guys with attitude! 2"mini figures of your favorite Dragonball characters!

With Omega Shenron still too powerful even for two Super Saiyan 4's, Goku and Vegeta perform the Fusion Dance and become the incredible Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. The tables turn as Omega Shenron suddenly can't seem to land a blow and Gogeta isn't even working up a sweat. Gogeta might just save the day...if he can stop joking around long enough. Dragonball Z Chibis Action Figure 3 Pack SS4 Goku, SS4 Vegeta and SS4 Gogeta are included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Gogeta wears the same clothes that all creations of the Fusion Dance wear. However, Gogeta's vest has a different color scheme than Gotenks'. The padding around the neck and shoulders of the vest is reddish orange rather than yellow, and the rest is either a very dark blue or a light black.

The hair is very similar to Vegetto's, with the difference being that Gogeta only has one bang in his hair instead of two. Gogeta also possesses Goku's body structure. Vegeta's hairline is more prominent in this fusion than in Vegetto, but still not as dramatic of a widow's peak as in Vegeta himself.

17 varieties of T-Shirts and Hoodies with various designs. Dragonball T-Shirts and Hoodies are included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Sony PSP Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Video Game $40

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai is a port of the incredibly popular Dragon Ball Z: Budokai line. Shin means new or better, so get ready for a new clean game. Sony PSP Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai Video Game is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Story
5/10

The story of Shin Budokai roughly follows Dragon Ball Z Movie 12: Fusion Reborn. A few plot holes here in there, kind of an unoriginal story A.K.A., Son Goku finds a new enemy, enemy gets followers, Son Goku and friends eventually kill the enemy. The Shin Budokai story is FULL of grammatical errors. It's kind on annoying, but it's also common in most portable Dragon Ball Z games.

Graphics
9/10
AMAZING graphics. The menus aren't too special, words, nice looking letters, colorful, yea. The battlefield is pretty darn amazing though. The stages are the same as the ones from Dragon Ball Z 3, with the exception of Hell of course. The 3D backgrounds are nicely done. The characters are nicely done, not just clothing, but like all of the little details from the anime are right there. The only flaw is a slight freeze in between frames and the lack of changing facial expressions (e.g. Broly is always grinning).

Gameplay
7/10
So if Shin means new, does that mean it is a new battle system? Pretty much. This battle system is supposed to be an amped version of the DBZ3 battle system. The gameplay flows perfectly. It is very fast paced. The brand new Aura Burst lets your character fly around freely and quickly. It is like taking the good parts of Dragon Ball Z 3 and Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! and throwing them into one battle system. Combos are still available, and can go on just as long as the PS2 combos. It sounds like I'm pretty happy with the gameplay, so why did I give it a 7? Well, after Dragon Road is complete, there is absolutely nothing to do. Afterwards, you only have your Survival, Free Battle, and Time Attack Modes. And the Profile Cards are REALLY boring. It's like customizing a school ID with Dragon Ball stickers. Also, the lack of multiple In-Game Transformations makes combos a lot harder to think up. And every character is pre-equipped with techniques, unlike in Dragon Ball Z 1, 2 , and 3 where you get to choose what techniques your character gets. Making every character the same.

Sound
6/10
I hate the new theme song. Also, the music is the same recycled music that we've been hearing since 2001. While many of the good tracks are still in Shin Budokai, I want some new music. I mean, Atari and Bandai have legends of American and Japanese music. They can totally do better than what they've been using for the past 5 years. What I love about the sound, Japanese voice actors. Plain and simple. The English voice actors are great too, but the original is just where it's at.

Overall
7.5/10
Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai puts tons of new mechanics on the table, but doesn't give you too much new stuff that's good. The game gets REALLY boring after you beat Dragon Road and you may feel like you wasted your money after about a week. The game still delivers what a Dragon ball Z fan wants though, fast paced action. The game could do with better mini-games other than Dragon Pace and Profile Cards. Also, I feel kind of annoyed that Atari would advertise Wireless online Play when you can only play using Ad Hoc WiFi.

Dragonball GT: Transformation Game Boy Advance Video Game $18

This has been the DragonBall game that fans have been waiting for. The DragonBall game that gamers in Japan have been getting for years except the US. All previous titles were stupid 3D fighter games in the arcade clone likes of Street Fighter. A DragonBall game like that is so STUPID & repetitive!!!!!!! Fans wanna control their favorite characters in a more fun way besides a 1 on 1 fighter game.

DragonBall GT: Transformation is a great side scroller beat em up game. It's just like Streets of Rage back on the old Sega Genesis. I believe DragonBall Sagas on the current PS2, GameCube, & XBox systems is the same as this game meaning it's an action adventure beat em up side scroller. But i haven't played that one yet so I'm not sure. Anyways this is like a Streets of Rage game.

Story line is Goku gets turned into a kid by an accident from a wish that is made from a villain after he is in contact with all the DragonBalls. So Goku is on an adventure to collect the DragonBalls back & make his wish. The Balls have been scattered across 12 planets.

So from my current playing status there are only 12 levels. On each planet u fight & than reach a boss & once u beat the boss u get a DragonBall. I wish there was more than just 1 stage on a planet. Because its just 1 stage & I know I will finish this game quite quickly. Dragonball GT Transformation Game Boy Advance video game is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Every stage you're on is a team of 3 players & can alternate & switch between the 3. There are a total of 9 playable characters & I'm sure some hidden ones. I've never been a fan of the cartoon because of the bad English language dubbing & I wanted 2 love the show so badly & it just never happened. But i always loved the beautiful artwork. Overall great game. Wish the levels were longer & had different stages in them.

This game is beautiful & is pretty much what a Super Nintendo 32 bit game is. I wish they pushed this game to its very limits in terms of visual imagery. I wanted to see some nice animation sequences as if I was watching an episode but there were none. This is part 1 of a 2 game series. I guess the next one is coming soon probably at the end of the year or next year. I definitely will buy it.

I love this game & it's great fun for the most part. Some minor flaws cause everyone wants 2 get their money's worth. Hopefully the next DragonBall GT game will be on the DS (better be an action side scroller as well) & put some of that good 3D graphics to good use.

Dragonball Z Keychain Light - Super Saiyan Goku $6

Fresh from his exhaustive exploits battling the nefarious Frieza's mercenary Ginyu Force, comes Goku, leader of the righteous Dragonball Z team, on another noble mission... uh, to help you keep track of your keys.

And the Dragonball Z Goku key chain light is hard to beat, being bulkier than any load of keys you'd ever put on it. Dragonball Z Keychain Light is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Rendered in durable plastic, this head and torso of Goku provides another function: when lightly squeezed, it causes his jagged mop of hair to glow, courtesy of two button cell batteries. It is, of course, supremely impractical, but if your idea of fun is to let the openers to your house, car, or school locker dangle from the oversize illuminated bouffant of a cartoon superhero, then the Dragonball Z Goku key chain light should serve as a merry meeting of locks and keys.

Dragonball Z Super Saiyan Gotenks Action Figure $9

The Dragonball Z Super Saiyan Gotenks figure measures approximately 4" tall and comes with a removable vest. Dragonball Z Super Saiyan Gotenks is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

DragonBall Red Ribbon Army Saga DVD $36

This is a double DVD set of the Red Ribbon Army saga. Not to be confused with an actual box set (i.e.: a multitude of DVDs contained within a box), this is simply 2 DVDs in 1 dvd case (a dvd holder on each side when opened). Within it a booklet (well I shouldn't say a booklet, it's just one piece of paper folded in half) that contains the episode information such as episode numbers and summaries.

Now that we've reviewed what it actually is, let's talk about what's contained on the discs. Finally! The original Dragonball available in the original uncut Japanese glory with subtitles! What a deal too! If you were upset with the Dragonball Z DVDs only having 3 episodes a piece, you will be more than delighted with this.

Funimation brings you 8 episodes on the first dvd, and 9 episodes on the second, bringing you a total of 17 great Dragonball episodes. Apparently they aren't trying to milk this like they are with 'Z', and for all the original Dragonball fans this is a blessing! DragonBall Red Ribbon Army Saga DVD is in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games reviews where you can buy by clicking the pic above.

Take a step back from all the fighting you see in Dragonball Z, and tag along with chibi Goku on all of his action-packed adventures. Goku takes on the Red Ribbon Army to take back his grandfather's momento (the 4-star Dragonball), and later saves a captured village chief.

This saga is full of action, humor, suspense, all with the beautiful art by Akira Toriyama you've come to know and love all these years. This saga is taken from the original Toriyama manga, but with more stuff added only available in the anime.

This is one deal you do NOT want to pass up.. especially if you're a hardcore Akira Toriyama fan. If I could give this 6 stars, I would.

The only thing I can think of that's remotely disappointing is the extras, which include character profiles and a trailer for another anime (I believe it's Lupin 3rd). The profiles are pretty cool, especially if one isn't familiar with all of them, but I would've liked something special like an interview with Akira Toriyama, or any of the creators of the anime. Let's hope we see some worthwhile extras in the future!

DragonBall Z: Vegeta DVD Saga 2 - Ultimate Sacrifice (Vol. 2) $22

If you haven't got any Vegeta Saga DVD's then get them. If you're only looking for ones with the most action, I recommend Ultimate Sacrifice. I liked DBZ ever since I turned the TV on and saw it on Cartoon Network about a decade ago. I had no idea though that it was the edited version I was seeing.

Anyway, about the DVD, I'll tell you about almost everything so if you don't want me to spoil it then read some other review. It starts off when Chouzu blew himself up to save Tien. Tien throws one last Kikoho but it only chips part of Nappa's armor. Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin are the only z fighters left. Dragonball Z Vegeta DVD Saga 2 Ultimate Sacrifice is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Right before Nappa was about to kill them, Vegeta stops him and says that they will wait 3 hours for Goku. Nappa goes around causing mayhem everywhere. This takes most of the 2nd episode, along with some clips of Goku rushing down snake way. Three hours later, Goku hasn't arrived yet, and the saiyans decide to resume the fight. After a brief battle, Goku arrives at the check in station in another world and Kami takes him back earth. Goku gets some senzu beans and eats one, calls nimbus and goes off to help.

After more fighting with Nappa, Piccolo is the first to sense Goku coming. Of course since Nappa nor Vegeta can sense power levels, they don't believe them. Until Vegeta puts on his scouter. He tells Nappa that in about 4 min. someone with a power level of 5000 will arrive. Nappa at his full power only reaches 4000, so he gets scared. Vegeta says since the Earth fighters can change their power levels a lot. Goku had at least 5000.

He commands Nappa to kill the Z fighters and show no mercy. He attacks Krillin and when he goes for Gohan instead gets kicked in the face by him. When Nappa gets up he throws a Bomer DX (I think that is what it's called) right at Gohan. Every thing starts to move in slow mo. Nappa shooting at Gohan, Piccolo remembering moments with Gohan, and piccolo running towards him.

Suddenly, Kami says that it's time for him to die and piccolo leaps in front of Gohan and gets hit. He starts to scream and the DVD is over. That sucks. You have to wait all summer so you can see Goku fight.

DragonBall Z: Saga 1, Part 2 - Starter SetDragonBall Z: Vegeta Saga 2 (Starter Set) DVD $36

This is a collector's box that I preordered back in December along with Movie 12: Fusion Reborn. This DVD includes a collector's box, saiyan invasion (episode 22-24), and a Vegeta action figure from the Goku Vs. Vegeta fight. It may cost more, but it will help me with getting all DB box set, DBZ box sets, and DBGT box sets.

The Saiyans defiantly announce their arrival on Earth. Sensing their immense power, Earth's heroes prepare for the worst as they speed towards an encounter with the alien invaders. DragonBall Z Saga 1 Part 2 Starter Set DVD is in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games reviews where you can buy by clicking the pic above.

However, nothing can prepare Piccolo for the truth behind his origins on the planet Namek. Not ready for the unorthodox style of the Saiyans, can Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin hold out until Goku arrives? Deluxe starter set will hold five explosive DVD's in a collectable art box that includes a FREE Jakk's Vegeta figure.

Dragonball GT Videos Volume 1 Game Boy Advance $8

The Game Boy advance video is very cool. The graphics are great for it being on a game boy and they've got some cool stuff on these videos. However, although I love GT, these are by far not the best episodes they could put on this.

They should do the first episode of the lost episodes (which is the real first episode,) and the last episode. The episodes on this, while good, are below the standard of GT.

The first episode here, A Grand Problem, isn't even an episode. Even FUNI states its a clip show-an introduction. But, I got this cheap, so I really can't complain. I have these on DVD too, and they're better on DVD because you get the Japanese language track. Dragonball GT Videos Volume 1 Game Boy Advance is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Other than the episode selection, this is a very good installment in the GBA video series. The graphics, though iffy, are better than on the Nickelodeon ones. Also, they should have put the theme song with the episodes, not on the opening.

Scores-
Episodes-2 1/2/5

Graphics-4/5

Sound- 4/5

Overall- 3 1/2/5

Dragonball Z - Vegeta Saga 1 - Doomed Heroes top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and gamesDragonball Z - Vegeta Saga 1 - Doomed Heroes (2005) $22

Edition: DVD

Earth's peace is forever shattered by the hostile arrival of an alien mercenary whose evil knows no bounds, sparking a campaign of terror against the Z-Fighters!

After their eventful trip back in time, the fighters realize a terrifying reality as the two Saiyans speed ever closer to Earth.

Meanwhile, Gohan continues his own martial arts training under the watchful eye of Piccolo, but a strange transformation takes him over, causing the young Saiyan to rampage out of control.

PS2 DBZ Budokai TenkaichiDBZ Budokai Tenkaichi Playstation 2 Video Game $20

Let me tell you this straight: This is NOT a DBZ Budokai game. Yes, it has the Budokai name, but that's because it simply had the Budokai license slapped on it for its US release. Forget everything you knew about the Budokai series, because this game's entirely different... which may be a good thing or a bad thing.

Probably the best thing of this title is it features the Japanese voices for the game, so you get to pick whichever you prefer. Longtime fans will probably enjoy hearing many of the original voices, such as mainstay Masako Nozawa as lead hero Goku (and Gohan.. and Goten... and Bardock...), as well as regulars such as Inuyasha's Takeshi Kusao, One Piece's Mayumi Tanaka, Rurouni Kenshin's Hirotaka Suzoki, Cowboy Bebop's Norio Wakamoto, and Sailor Moon's Toru Furuya and Yuko Minaguchi. Not to mention many of the voices, including Daisuke Gori, Hikaru Midorikawa, Toshio Furukawa, and Bin Shimada have provided voices for some of today's top fighting franchises, such as Dead or Alive, Tekken, and Soul Calibur. It's one huge reunion.

Characters also have different abilities. Goku, for example, can use Kaio Ken to power up or Solar Flare to blind an enemy so he can get a hit in (ironically though, Tien or even Krillin for that matter, DOESN'T have Solar Flare) In his SSJ mode, he could use Instantaneous Movement to teleport safely behind an enemy and avoid their attack, leaving them open to a crushing blow. DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi Playstation 2 Video Game is included in the top dragonball (dragon ball) action figures, toys, dvd, vhs and games.

Fighting is fast paced and occurs on land, in the air, or even underwater (apparently everybody can hold their breath really well). The main mode retells most of the stories, as well as a few movies and some of DB and DBGT. There's also some extra fighting modes, as well as an improved customization menu that even lets you help unlock more characters.

There's also some pretty neat character pages for every person you've unlocked, which provides history and attack info and even lists who does who's voice for both the English and Japanese versions. In appearance it seems like the perfect DBZ game... all is not well, however, as there are also quite a few negatives.

First, the controls are very poor. Yes, you heard me. It doesn't matter whether you know what the buttons do or not. They are horribly jerky and unresponsive even after you finally understand how to perform each move. For an example, when I press left, my fighter should go left, NOT STRAIGHT TOWARDS THE ENEMY!

The music is also annoying. It's the same stuff we've been hearing since Budokai 1 three years ago... shouldn't we at least get a few new tracks? Story mode's cutscenes are also pretty dull, they're similar to the ones in B1 where two characters would chat right before the battle... unlike B1 though, it doesn't have extra scenes that attempt to copy the anime series.

All in all, DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi is a very mixed bag. Some parts are great, but a few areas could be improved upon. I'd honestly suggest renting first in case you don't like it, because some may be disappointed, especially if they are expecting this to be "Budokai 4." Still, for me at least the positives outweigh the negatives. I'll be playing this for quite some time, even with more big hits coming out soon.
