Killzone:
Liberation Sony PSP Video Game
$32
This game is a totally new take on the Killzone franchise. It throws out the
first person view and goes third person. It has a third person top down view
which is a great thing.
Great graphics, loads of weapons in your arsenal, and great controls are all
factors of this game. The gameplay itself is great better than most PSP games. A
must buy for any PSP owner. Killzone Liberation is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
This is a solid TPS that the PSP desperately needed. with gorgeous CG
cutscenes & great controls; this is now 1 of the best franchises on PSP.
(SOCOM, GTA, Syphon Filter, & now Killzone) But where's the promised online
play? well i'll tell u: infrastructure will be downloadable along with more maps
& chapters around Christmas.
That'll give you time to complete the incredibly difficult campaign mode,
master the challenges, & unlock every single weapon. Then you can download
more levels AND get online!
NICE!!
Medal
of Honor: Heroes Sony PSP Video Game
$40
This game has been on my "must buy" list for about three months
now. And having it arrive at my door today was a sigh of relief, almost.
When you first turn on the game, you are struck by the music and the main menu.
Once again, EA NAILED IT! Great MUSIC, and the menu is easily navigable. Medal
of Honor Heroes is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
I thought it'd be best to learn the control scheme in Skirmish mode rather than
try my luck at playing online... ...once again, WOW! It was as if I had picked
up a PS2 controller. The guys at EA got this right! There are a lot of small
"shortcut" buttons that allow for all the functions that the PS2 Medal
of Honor Games have. For example, double tapping the right D-pad button will
automatically switch to grenades from your weapon--very handy in a heated online
game!
As far as the Multiplayer, which is why 99% of people are clicking the pic above
and buying this game, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I was shocked to see that
there was already 32 people online, and I jumped into a game with no hassle. One
thing I love about the game is the ability to pick up weapons! This is very
handy when you are regularly a sniper, but at the moment, the bazooka that the
guy you just killed was carrying looks very appetizing.
Another GREAT feature that adds a lot of strategy to the game is the Sprint
function. By normal ways your soldier will walk, and if you NEED to run, you
tap, and then hold the up analog stick. By doing this your character will
sprint, BUT he will also lose his energy (which is represented by a meter in the
lower left corner). Once he regains his energy you may sprint again.
This is very much like real life, and is a healthy alternative to those other
games that let you sprint continuously around maps without regard to the fact
that humans, and especially weapon-carrying soldiers DO get tired, and slow
down.
Really, I can't say anything bad about the game AT ALL. My only advice would be
to turn the sensitivity of the analog stick and directional buttons up ALL the
way, because they were a bit sluggish when just starting.
The maps in this game, were something I didn't cover too well, but they
absolutely ROCK! My favorite so far is the bridge map! I sniped 4 Nazi-Scums on
that map in about 2 minutes.
Got to go kill some Nazis!!!!
Metal
Gear Solid Portable Ops Sony PSP Video Game
$40
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops boasts ground-breaking online play that lets
gamers recruit comrades to form a unique fighting force. The game follows the
events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, as Naked Snake establishes FOXHOUND
in an attempt to hunt down the treacherous FOX unit, which has started a bloody
revolt in South America.
Set in 1970, the game will be the missing link in the ongoing Metal Gear
saga, as players will learn more about returning characters such as Para-Medic,
Major Zero and Sigint and also witness Naked Snake's greatest tragedy -- a loss
that sets into motion the events of later games in the Metal Gear Solid
timeline.
Full voiceovers for cinematics, performed by returning cast from MGS3 - Snake
Eater.
 | Extensive single-player storyline, unveiling a lost chapter in the Metal
Gear Solid saga
 | New MGS gameplay elements such as the Surround Radar system
 | Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is included in the top reviews of

 | Online multiplayer mayhem - Team Death Match, Death Match, and Capture
Mission
 | Acquire new squad members for use in single and multiplayer modes by
connecting to Wi-Fi access points
 | Animated cinematic scenes illustrated by world-renown artist Ashley Wood |

Grand
Theft Auto Vice City Stories PSP Video Game
$50
Rockstar once again have outdone themselves with their long-awaited title,
but it was worth the wait! So, let's cut to the chase:
Graphics:
Awesome! This time around, you will actually tell a difference between night and
day. When the night falls, you will see beautiful street lights and store signs
all around you, resembling a Miami night filled with lights.
Controls:
Great news! If you played Liberty City Stories, you already know the controls,
as they are unchanged. So keep playing where you left off, instead of spending
hours learning the controls.
Gameplay:
What can I say...this time around, Rockstar took all the best features from
previous titles and combined them here and then added some more. There is so
much to do, but I will not spoil it, but believe me, you will be busy for a
while. Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Here is a brief overview of some features:
Swimming: Don't worry about falling into water and dying by accident, just swim
back to the shore!
Cops using motorcycles (this wasn't implemented in original Vice City game)
New Vehicles: Rockstar listened and included the most vehicles into a title
than ever before, including water and flying vehicles.
Weapons: new weapons implemented, including a silencer add-on.
Annoyances Removed: When arrested or wasted, you can now pay a bit more to
get your weapons back.
Revenues from your businesses/empires are deposited into your pocket right
away at the end of the day! No more waiting a day and running to " $ "
icon to get your payouts.
Sounds: This is why this game is such a great value: You get 105 different 80's
songs from various radio stations, which is about 25%-50% more radio songs than
previous averages. Once again, you will be treated for sexually-oriented humor
on radio shows and hilarious commercials. If you are a fan of a radio as much as
you are of a game itself, you will not be disappointed!
Bottom Line: If you are a GTA fan, you will love it. If you aren't, you will
learn to love it. This could arguably be Rockstar's best title of the series.
Need
for Speed Carbon: Own the City Sony PSP Video Game
$40
When I first got it, I was very excited, but I still think that the price
is high.
There are many improvements to the game from the last one, for example,
now you have crews that help you out during a race, you can explore the city and
eventually "own the city". Need for Speed Carbon is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
It is a lot of fun to play and it is good game.
Madden
NFL 2007
Sony PSP Video Game $40
I previously owned Madden 06 for PSP and while I found it to be pretty
fun, the infamous loading time really brought the fun factor to its knees. EA
fixed this problem and a few more with 07 and overall this game is GREAT. Great
graphics, great sound, challenging situations, and more to love.
Being a Steelers fan, I first played against the Titans to get a feel for the
game play and it wasn't hard to pick up since the controls are essentially the
same as 06. EA opened things up with the analog stick which gives you more types
of juking moves on offense and harder hits with the defense. The screen movement
is smooth and fluent which makes finding an open receiver easier then 06.
The game also moves faster then 06 so you have to be on your toes. The
sound is also a big improvement when you've got on a good pair of headphones as
the crowds are louder and the hits really stand out. They've even added some new
commentary from John and Al along with some of the same stuff from 06. Madden
NFL 2007 is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
The franchise mode is great. The game sets goals for you to reach each week and
if you accomplish those goals then you're rewarded with points you can
distribute amongst your players each week, constantly improving your team as you
move through the season. Thanks to this feature, your rookies can develop faster
as the season moves along. The graphics are a big improvement also with more
shading and the players move better, even their hair seems to shake when they
put the big hit on you. There's also some pretty cool end zone celebrations.
I can't seem to put this game down and am looking forward to the long road trip I
have coming up thanks to this game. This game puts 06 to shame which wouldn't be
too tough since EA was making their first football game on the PSP platform with
06 so you can tell that they studied what needed to be better and did it. Good
job EA, great game! You won't be disappointed!
Lumines
II PSP Video Game $30
Gamers control squares made of four smaller block pieces that are dropped
into the playing field one at a time to form same-color squares.
The vertical "timeline" sweeps across the playing field from left
to right and wipes the same-color squares from the playing field. Lumines
II is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Unmatched blocks pile up, and the game ends when the pile gets to the top of
the playing screen.
Advance through many action-packed levels, each with its own musical theme
and sound effects.
LocoRoco
PSP Video Game $40
At TGS (Tokyo Game Show) 2005, Sony of Japan announced that they were
developing an original game for PSP: LocoRoco. Instead of the usual ports or
re-creations or compilations of retro games, LocoRoco is a completely new
venture.
It focuses on a fictional planet where happy LocoRocos (yellow blobs) and
MuiMuis (blue figures) live. One day, it is invaded by the Moja Troop, who eat
LocoRoco. Your job is to tilt the surface to lead LocoRocos through their planet
without getting eaten. You collect flowers, which gives you another LocoRoco.
You can combine and separate LocoRocos, as well. You collect bugs as a food
source for LocoRocos. Additionally, when you collect MuiMuis, you can get house
parts.
The game is very easy. As a PSP player of Tekken: DR, complicated combo moves
and annoying nuisances with the analog stick make PSP games hard to
play--especially ports that we're used to seeing on PSOne and PS2. With
LocoRoco, you use 3 buttons during gameplay.
The shoulder buttons (LEFT and RIGHT) are used to tilt, tapping the circle
button separates LocoRocos, holding the circle button combines them, and holding
down both shoulder buttons makes your LocoRocos jump. A lot easier said than
done. LocoRoco is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Besides a "career" mode, which pivots you into different courses
with different color LocoRocos, there are "mini-games" like a Mui-Mui
Crane, Chuppa game, and more. You must collect a certain amount of
bugs/pickories every game to play these games. Also, there is the LocoRoco House
Editor feature that allows you to create a house for your LocoRoco. I haven't
yet tested it out but it is an excellent feature. By collecting MuiMuis in
games, you get house parts and you can build a house for your LocoRoco.
Besides all of the gameplay features, a large soundtrack is full of bubbly,
interesting, and catchy jingles with unique voices. While some find it annoying,
it is very catchy and it gets stuck in my head. LocoRocos even sing along in
gibberish while the song goes on. MuiMuis do, as well. The graphics are 2D like
Mario, which make loading times non-existent and shows off the capability of the
PSP's high-performance graphics.
In the end, LocoRoco is a game that is intuitive, simple, and beautiful to look
at. It is fitted only for the PSP, and it should. Additionally, the gameplay is
excellent, pivoting you into many different scenarios with many different
characters (like Moja, who attack you or Chuppa, who catapults you into hidden
areas). It is clearly worth the bucks--clearly.
PROS-
Intuitiveness and Simplicity: Easy to play, fitted for the PSP
Shows off PSP Graphic Capabilities: Beautiful to look at
Different Maps, Characters, Colors: Very unique and fresh
Not a Port or Re-creation/compilation: A completely original game
No Long Loading Times: 2D graphics prevents this
Mini-Games: Lets you take a break from main gameplay
CONS-
Longevity: Only 40 levels makes you wish for more...
Should've Used Characters More: Some characters pop up once...
You have to pay money made in career to access mini-games
Marvel
Ultimate Alliance PSP Video Game
$40
This was a very fun game to play. While other games such as Syphon filter
may have better graphics, this was very impressive for such a small
screen.
Besides the few faults with this game, it is so much fun to be on a team
of wolverine, Spiderman, or many other choices. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Gameplay is very smooth and the graphics are decent. This is a very
addictive game that is essential to anyone looking for alot of fun superhero
action.
ATV
Offroad Fury Pro PSP Video Game
$40
Fury's portable debut, Blazin Trails, was a solid remake of Offroad Fury 3,
but it had problems that kept it from becoming a great game (oddly, people
bought it, and it's now a greatest hit game). This game, a revamped version of
blazin trails with more features added, will really please the fans with all of
the great extras. The game has really been improved.
First off, the controls are alot more natural, and the game runs great, unlike
the first game. It's alot easier to get a win, and the racing system is very
good. They have added quite a bit to the game, like trucks, and MX Bikes. Sadly,
the vehicles don't reach the great variety of MX Vs. ATV, but the number of
rides here satisfies. There are also some regular trucks, for some classic
offroading.
Take it all for a ride with the courses, which are better designed than the
first game, other than the disappointing freestyle courses. Overall though, the
tracks are full of gritty jumps that make the game stand on edge. Sadly, it's
not as thrilling on a small screen, but it's entertaining. ATV Offroad Fury Pro is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Basically, this game is the handheld game that can stand against its console
brothers and it can actually play well. If you are a fan of the series, don't
question anything, click the pic above and get it. Fans will be most likely
pleased.
However though, I still like MX for PSP, but this one doesn't ride too far from
the roaring tail of that game.

Ace
Combat X: Skies of Deception PSP Video Game
$40
Ace Combat X : Skies of Deception brings the air combat world of the Ace
Combat series to the PSP handheld. It's a rather good port of a quite fun
series.
Ace Combat is, in general, a flying game involving modern style airplanes of a
wide variety - F15, F18, F22, A10 and so on. You fly with a few wingmen,
fighting for a fictional country against its enemy. The game is made up of a
series of missions, sometimes air to air, sometimes air to ground, sometimes
over sea, sometimes over cities.
The PSP version is less linear and more strategic. You can choose which
territory to work on next. On the other hand, you don't have any control over
your wingmen in this version - they usually try to stick close to you, but you
can't issue them orders or outfit their planes.
The graphics are rather good for PSP abilities. They have anime style cut scenes
but they are non-moving, stationary images. If you had to compare the in game
graphics they would fall somewhere between Ace Combat 3 and Ace Combat 4. Oddly,
the game doesn't do a good job of showing "how fast" you are going,
with the portrayal of objects around you. So it can be hard to judge distances
or dog fighting situations.
The sound is on the tinny side and has a new annoying voice which repeats the
"caution" style alerts. The techno-beat soundtrack can get wearying
after a while. Ace Combat X is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Trying to use the little stub joystick at the same time as the D Pad can be
extremely frustrating. I know that there aren't many choices when using a PSP,
but surely they could have come up with another combination of keystrokes that
worked well.
In general, the PSP version is much slower than the PS2. When we play the PSP,
then go back and play Ace Combat Zero, it's amazing how much faster the gameplay
moves in Zero.
There is a multiplayer mode, which can include both other PSP players as well as
computer players. If you have friends who own PSP's and this game, that could be
a fun way to pass a few hours.
Well recommended as a playing alternative, for when you're away from your PS2!

Lego
Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Sony PSP Video Game
$40
After the release of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith in theaters
we got Lego Star Wars; a game that was a lot of fun to play simply because it
emulated the movies rather well with all the characters being made entirely from
Legos.
Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is even better for the simple fact of
nostalgia. Any Star Wars fan will enjoy this.
The PSP version is actually not all that different from the console versions. In
fact, this is like carrying around the console version. So if you want to play
Lego Star Wars II on the go, you can do that just fine with the PSP. Lego Star
Wars II the Original Trilogy is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
You'll begin the game in the Cantina in Mos Eisley. This is the hub, and from
there you can go into any of the three episodes and play through them. At the
start you'll only be able to choose A New Hope, but after completing the first
chapter, you can choose The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi.
As you go through the three episodes you'll see some of the most memorable
moments of the movies acted out entirely with Legos. These moments aren't only
memorable, but they're given a hilarious charm. These moments are also from the
actual original versions of the movies as well. In other words, Han Solo DOES
shoot first.
The game is visually striking. Seeing your favorite characters from the original
Star Wars films as Legos is quite a treat. Not only do you get to have nostalgia
with Star Wars, but with Legos as well. Even better are the hilarious antics of
most of the scenes. To benefit the nostalgia even more is how John Williams'
classic score accompanies each and every level of the game. For a Star Wars fan
this game is the ultimate nostalgia.
As you play through each of the classic episodes, you'll be in control of
several characters. Not all at once, but you'll end up having to switch. At
times you may only have two characters, at others there may be as many as seven
in your party at once. Your characters, depending on who they are, also have
their own unique skills they can use. Jedi for example, can double jump and use
the force. Those who wield blasters have a grappling hook that allows them to
ascend to accessible platforms. The droids can open up special doors for
you.
Other characters, like the Jawas and Ewoks will be able to go into vents and
access areas the other characters can't. In all actuality, they're really no
different than their counterparts in the original Lego Star Wars. Also like the
original Lego Star Wars, you'll constantly have to switch between characters in
order to get through each and every area. You'll have to switch to R2-D2 to open
up a door, for example. More than one person can play at a time, which is also
really cool. You can also beat up your allies if you wish, and they respawn
instantly. The gameplay isn't completely the same, though, there have been some
small tweaks made here and there.
The additions to the gameplay aren't huge, but they are welcome. As you progress
through levels all your characters may be able to assemble certain materials
together to form a droid to help them fight. In the original Lego Star Wars this
ability was only given to the Jedi, but here everyone can do it. There are also
moments when you'll have to dress up as a stormtrooper in order to gain access
through certain doors. You'll also be given the chance at some point to dress up
as a bounty hunter and you'll be able to use Thermal Detonators.
Characters also have their own unique abilities. Chewie, for example, can rip
a stormtroopers arms right out of his sockets. All of these are welcome
additions, and that's not even all there is to the gameplay. From time to time
you'll be in command of vehicles. Landspeeders, the Millennium Falcon, the
X-Wing and more as you take on some of the more memorable moments from the film,
like destroying the death star.
It will probably only take you five hours at the very least to complete the
story mode of all three episodes. However, Lego Star Wars II is full of extras.
Each time you dispatch an enemy, whether it be in story mode or not, you'll earn
money. You can also destroy certain objects and obtain money. You can use the
money you gain to purchase cheats and hidden characters.
Each time you get a new character they'll walk around in the hub, and you can
switch to them. "Purchasing" characters isn't the only way to get
them. You could easily just use one in story mode and you've got him or her.
You'll also get hidden characters if you've got save data from the original Lego
Star Wars. Just unlocking all the characters takes a lot of time.
The importance of unlocking characters is so you can play through certain
aspects of the free play mode. There are places that in story mode the default
characters couldn't reach. These hidden characters might be able to reach it,
though, and so you will find yourself playing through levels again. The good
news is these levels are so much fun that playing through a second, third or
even fourth time is no hassle at all.
Free mode also offers a way for you to customize what a character looks like.
You could put Yoda's head on Luke Skywalker's body, for example. This is mostly
just a lot of fun to mess around with. Some combinations are just all out crazy.
You could, for example, put Chewbacca's head on Leia's body from when she's
wearing the slave outfit in Return of the Jedi. This really doesn't do a whole
lot for the gameplay as a whole, but it is quite fun to mess around with, and
the combinations are endless.
The only real problem with this game that I can really think of is that there is
little, if any, challenge at all. Each time you die you respawn right where you
left off and you have infinite lives. There's really no such thing as a game
over. If you die the only penalty is that you lose money. However, the sheer fun
factor of the game is enough to do away with that, and still makes Lego Star
Wars II a treat.
Lego Star Wars II surpasses the original in just about everyway. It's a Star
Wars game for the classic trilogy done with instant perfection. If you love the
original Star Wars movies, you'll definitely want this game.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Video Game
$20
It will never come out on any other system.
When it comes to video gaming franchises, no series is as famous, or as
infamous, as the classic Rockstar Games series Grand Theft Auto. With an
objective that focuses on succeeding at crime, and some of the most questionable
content ever seen or heard in video games, this series has become the target of
many anti-video game violence groups. When you hear those conservatives whining
about violence in games, this series is a big target for them (damn them all to
hell!) But none of those idiots know the truth - the game series is an excellent
one!
The series has come a long way from its Playstation One infancy, and it
shows through in every installment of the series, on every console. This series
has always been fun to play, so you better believe gamers were excited to hear
the game was arriving on Sony's Playstation Portable. Grand Theft Auto
Liberty City Stories is included in the top reviews of Sony PSP video games for
sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by clicking the pic above.
How does Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories measure up? Keep reading,
and you shall see.
OVERVIEW:
Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories in the Fall of
2005. It's a traditional Grand Theft Auto game. The game is rated Mature for
adult situations, language, violence - pretty much anything that can get a game
an M rating, this game has.
REVIEW:
I've always loved Grand Theft Auto games. They're just so damn fun, because you
get to do everything you'd be too afraid to do in the real world. And above all,
they make the experience an extremely entertaining one. Liberty City Stories has
proven to be no exception to this gaming tradition. Read on and see how the game
fares in the different areas it offers.
-THE GOOD:
-THIS IS A TRADITIONAL GRAND THEFT AUTO GAME, IN THE TRADITION OF THE CONSULAR
ONES RELEASED IN RECENT YEARS. If you've played Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City,
or San Andreas, you'll have a good idea of what to expect from this game.
Essentially, it takes those stylings, and puts them in a portable game. Earlier
portable incarnations of the series stuck close to the stylings of the original
Playstation One game. NOT A PROBLEM HERE. This is the kind of game fans of the
series will want!
-THE SERIES LOSES NOTHING IN ITS TRANSITION TO A HANDHELD. I honestly thought
that this game would end up being considerably weaker than its consular
predecessors. Boy, was I ever wrong! This game doesn't make the same mistakes
early portable versions of the franchise did. Anything you could want from this
series, it's here.
-TONS OF MISSIONS, VEHICLES, STORYLINES, WEAPONS, AND PLACES TO GO. This series
is excellent, because there is always something to do. The game offers missions
you can take up, which follow the game's central plot. Alternatively, you can
enter side plots as well. There are a ton of vehicles, and all of then can be
stolen and used by you. Each one has its own strengths and weaknesses, but if
you steal a police car, ambulance, or taxi cab, you'll be able to access side
missions that go along with that type of vehicle. Hell, you can even just go
around stealing cars and killing innocent bystanders, if that's your idea of fun
(just don't get caught doing it!) In this universe, there is always something to
do, as any fan of the series will tell you.
-NO CONTENT EDITING OF ANY TYPE - THIS IS THE WAY A MATURE RATED GAME SHOULD BE!
Let's face the facts, even some games that have gained a Mature rating have been
edited. Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation One had nudity of characters
blurred out. Even the South Park game in the Nintendo 64 had the most vulgar of
curse words bleeped. The thing I love about this series is that it just pitches
all the rules like that out the window. What other gaming universe features
folks pitching the F and S words around left and right, with no bleeping? As far
as I am concerned, due to the Mature rating being suggested for ages seventeen
and up, the games with the rating should be about the equivalent of a Restricted
(R) rated movie. And this game fits that bill nicely.
-ONE OF THE FINEST PLAYSTATION PORTABLE GAMES SO FAR. There have been a
hit-and-miss assortment of games for the new handheld so far, but this is
definitely one of the finest titles that the handheld has to offer its gamers.
It's well worth checking out - but for God's sake, be at least a teenager if
you're gonna play this game. If you're younger than that, it might be a bit much
for you. And the last thing we need is more of those conservatives complaining!
-THE BAD:
-THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD GAMING FRANCHISES IN THE HISTORY OF VIDEO
GAMES. Often, gamers just judge this series based on its controversial nature.
They never bother to actually play the games, and just assume it's a bad series
because of all the issues people have about it. This is a shame, because the
game itself is actually very fun and entertaining. I'll bet those conservatives
who whine about gaming violence have never actually sat down and played the
games they speak so harshly against.
-THERE ARE SOME MINOR CAMERA ISSUES. These flaws are minor, but when you find
yourself in some locales, you'll definitely notice these issues.
-NO CUSTOM CONTROL CONFIGURATION. You can choose from several configuration
types, but sadly, you can't configure them to your own customized liking.
Because of this, the controls definitely take some getting used to. I definitely
know I was pushing the wrong buttons when I meant to do some things in the game.
-YOUR CHARACTER CAN'T SWIM, AND DIES WHEN HE FALLS IN WATER. No, I'm not making
this up. Granted, many games in this series suffer from the same problem, but I
wish they would have fixed it up for this one.
-OVERALL:
Overall, despite some very minor flaws, this game actually proves itself to be a
worthy game in this series. I had some serious doubts, but playing the game
shattered them. If you're a Playstation Portable owner, and you're mature enough
to handle it, definitely consider clicking the pic above and picking this game
up. It's one of the handheld's finest releases to date.
Mortal
Kombat Unchained Sony PSP Video Game
$40
This game rocks. I played it on PS2 and I loved it and finally as soon as
I heard it was going to be on handheld for the first time ever I thought to
myself "this is great!
Much better than those other MKs on GBA and on black and white game boy
because the graphics just don't cut it as well as PSP does.
The 3-D is awesome and I have to say I knew it was gonna be great and I
was proven right! Mortal Kombat Unchained is included in the top reviews of

Bubble
Bobble Evolution Sony PSP Video Game
$30
Bubble Bobble Evolution takes the classic platforming gameplay and expands it
into new realms.
Story Mode retells the classic story of two human brothers trapped in
bubble-blowing dinosaur bodies by an evil nemesis, only this time the action
takes place in two "Towers of Entertainment" -- cylinders that form
the game's levels. Bubble Bobble Evolution is included in the top reviews of

All-new puzzles and hazards test your skills, as you dispatch the wandering
monsters to advance onward.
Tekken
Dark Resurrection Sony PSP Video Game
$40
If you have the money, click the pic and buy this game. By far this is the
best PSP title to date. Even if you are not a fan of Tekken, you will love this
masterpiece.
First off, the graphics are truly amazing, even though there are slight flaws
that don't get in the way at all. I never thought the PSP could play a game that
looks this good, but I thought wrong. The visual problems occur in the game's
backgrounds, which occasionally has a texture that will blur, and in the pre and
post fight animation, which are not quite as smooth as the fighting, have the
same problem.
Those things aside, and again, they don't get in the way at all, the games
graphics are flawless. On top of that, the game's loading times are extremely
short, usually around 5 to 8 seconds between fights, so the visual quality
doesn't come at the expense of speed. Tekken Dark Resurrection is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Secondly, The controls are very responsive, though they are occasionally
tricky. If you like, you can also use the analog stick to control your movement.
Both of the new characters seem as interesting as the rest of the fighters. Also
Dark Resurrection starts with the complete cast of characters available, 34 in
all, so you won't have to play through the arcade mode over and over to get all
of them.
Lastly, The sound is pretty good and the sound effects of you punching your
opponent is also very realistic. The music is pretty much hit or miss, even I
didn't like every song.
Tekken: Dark Resurrection is a long-lasting game that delivers superb 3D
fighting for the PSP platform. The graphics more than make up for the games
minor flaws. This is an extremely good game. I recommend it to everyone.
NASCAR
2007 Sony PSP Video Game $40
I've had this game for about a month now, and it is a lot of fun for those
that want a more realistic oval racing experience. It's not for everyone though.
If you are looking for crazy wrecks and more intense action, I recommend Burnout
Legends over this game. NASCAR 2007 is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Strengths:
You can jump right in and play without having to worry about elaborate car
setups or qualifying. There are many tracks to choose from and you don't have to
"go through the ranks" to race with the big boys. You can choose among
all the Nextel Cup drivers or create your own car with personalized paint
schemes. You can save at any time during the race and you can select a short,
medium or long race. This saves you much aggravation if you wreck, you can just
quit and go back to the last time you saved.
The graphics and sound are excellent. With a good set of headphones you will definitely
be immersed in the game and the the wide screen really makes the game come
alive. The AI is quite good, and driving like a maniac will get you on the bad
side of other drivers real quick. They will remember and retaliate later in the
race, by blocking your pass or spinning you out from behind. You can make
alliances too and those drivers will help you draft and work with you during the
race
Weaknesses:
The steering is touchy and unforgiving even when you get used to it. Even a
little bumping and banging can spin you out and put you at the back of the pack
fast. It makes it much more realistic, but you won't have that wild action that
you get from Burnout.
In the Race Now mode you always start somewhere in the middle of the pack.
This can get frustrating, especially in the truck series, where it is very hard
to work your way to the front.
Overall very solid game worth clicking the pic above and buying, the season mode
is fun and if you are more of a gear head you can set up the car the way you
like it adjusting springs, tire pressure, etc...a good game and nice change of
pace from some of the crash & burn type racing games out there.

SOCOM
Fireteam Bravo PSP Video Game $20
Um, how exactly do I begin? How about; OMFG! SOCOM ON THE PSP?! SOCOM on
the go?! Have I died and gone to heaven?! Well I doubt I would be in heaven, so
I know I'm not dead.
Everyone has said or will say this first; "SOCOM on PSP? How would that
work with only 1 analog stick?" They might even say; "Sony is just
trying to cash in on a franchise hit." Well if they are just trying to cash
in, what's your address Sony, let me send you some extra money cause you deserve
it!
SOCOM on the PSP is very strange at first, having to adjust to the controls. As
I was reading the manual, I thought to myself, omg - I hope I can send this game
back. The analog is used to move you forward and back, and turn left and right.
Hold down the L button while using the analog and it becomes forward and back
and strafe left and right. Hold down the R button to lock onto targets and X to
shoot. While locked on targets, press L to switch between other available
targets within range.
Locked on targets are not sure hits, get down on one knee or go prone to
increase your accuracy. If you decide to Run and Gun using the lock-on, then
better bring extra ammo. This all seems very complicated at first, but after
20-30 minutes of playing I was able to make the adjustment - I have to say, to
my surprise, this control setup actually works and works well! SOCOM Fireteam
Bravo is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
FTB (Fireteam Bravo) takes place in conjunction with the Socom 3 missions and
stories. A pair of seals (Sandman and Lonestar) take side missions to help
Specter's squad accomplish their mission objectives. As you complete the
campaign mode, you get opportunities to complete cross-talk objectives that you
can later synchronize with Socom 3 on your PS2 to unlock weapons, accessories
and help with mission objectives! Yes, this works in the reverse as well.
Complete some cross-talk objectives on PS2 version and sync with your PSP.
Once the game starts and the main menu comes up, the resemblance of the Socom 3
menus will bring a nice warm familiar feeling to those die hard Socom fans.
Aside from personalizing the control setup, you will find many of the same
options you have on the console version. But you will notice something new;
Instant Action. As you complete area missions, you unlock maps for Instant
Action. A nice way for those who are on the go and have just a few minutes to
kill. Not enough time to play a full mission? That's fine, start Instant Action
and choose from multiple game types, Breach, Extract, Suppression style games.
You and your sidekick Lonestar take on terrorists in a quick 2 vs. all battle.
They also offer stealth type missions for those who like to stick to shadows for
that added challenge.
Getting tired of playing mind-numbing dimwits offline? How about taking FTB
online for 4v4 or 8v8 action? When you get to the log in screen, if you already
have a Socom 3 account, you can use this same account to log on. When you get
online, notice your friends list; it is the same list you have for Socom 3!
Unfortunately, you can even communicate with them! While in a game room, you can
send a message to your friends using the chat features! You get pretty much all
the same community options on the PSP version as you do with the Socom 3
community, friends list, clans, ladder system and message boards. Though clans
do not interchange between Socom 3 and FTB like Friends lists do.
The online map setup is just like Socom 3, select the map, then the game type
you want. There are 5 different types to choose from:
- Suppression: Seals vs. Terrorists - Team Deathmatch, eliminate all opponents
- Free For All (FFA): Terrorists vs. Terrorists - Deathmatch, everyone for
themselves.
- Extraction: Seals vs. Terrorists - Seals eliminate all terrorists or extract 2
of 3 VIPs to win. Terrorists eliminate all SEALs to win.
- Demolition: SEALs vs. Terrorists - Find bomb and destroy enemy base or
eliminate all opponents.
- Captive: SEALs vs. Terrorists - Like Suppression, eliminate all opponents. But
you can revive fallen teammates. Winner is team with most men left standing when
time expires or completely incapacitate other team.
Don't like the idea of playing online and not being able to talk to your
teammates? Then drop $20 on this PSP Headset! YES, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo supports
the headset for online communication!
World
Series of Poker Tournament of Champions PSP Video Game
$29
No silly "bluff" and "tell" games, no freezing in the
middle of tournaments, and no unnecessary stuff on the side.
Just good poker, with realistic people playing along side of you.
With this game, you start off as a protégé of Chris "Jesus" Ferguson,
and you follow his advice through tournaments and WSOP invitational events, as
well as heads-up play verses some of the best (and Jennifer Tilly, i guess, as
well). World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
One of the more redeeming factors about this game was that for once, without a
silly game on the side, i was actually able to intimidate the computer players.
Based on their verbal responses, they said things like "phew....not with
how you're playing today. I fold." that's absolutely incredible to me,
considering i had been attempting to play to just that end. my previous strong
calls had actually caused the computer to fold.
Also, in the tournaments, Mr. Ferguson has various bits and pieces of advice.
Such as, when he tells you that a certain person isn't going to let you steal
the blinds, they really aren't. you better have the cards to call, because that
person, should they choose to stay in the pot in the first place, isn't going to
give up even a small amount of chips very easily.
a fun side note is that for once, you can actually play ad hoc with other
players directly, without having to go through a silly internet server or having
to be near a wireless access point. just two friends with PSP's, and a fully
charged battery (gotta love that built in wireless), and you are off to good
poker fun.
overall, the game is incredibly impressive, considering the caliber of poker
games that we have already seen (or rather NOT seen) on the market until today.
a great notch in the belt of World Series of Poker computer and video games, i
can't wait to see what they come out with next.
---BTW.....the implied thing that i haven't really mentioned, is that since this
game is a little more realistic....it's HARDER. this isn't the type of video
game you pick up and expect to beat instantly. these players play well, and they
change their style. one time they'll call you and try to bluff you out with a
2-4 off suit....but the next hand they'll be slow playing you with pocket aces.
good luck to all that try on the "professional" level.
Bounty
Hounds PSP Video Game $40
If you played Monster Hunter Freedom, Bounty Hounds will feel oddly similar,
yet this time it's set in a spacey-futuristic world rather than that screwy dark
ages.
Taken from the third person view, you play as a mercenary for hire to go to four
different planets and wipe out all the bad, nasty aliens. Apparently, in the
future, we totally gave up on connecting with other life and instead just kill
them and take their planets and stuff. Even though this sounds mean, you won't
feel the pity as you play the game.
The action is nearly non-stop with baddies coming in wave after wave, and you
can swing and shoot in beautiful visuals and graphics to kill them all. The
graphics are astounding for the PSP platform, the scenery and baddies all look
and explode with great visuals that will make you want to kill again, over and
over. Bounty Hounds is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
You do get a huge load of weapon choices as the game says, everything from
guns, lasers, rockets, swords, flaming swords, hammers, yada, yada, yada. Also
in your backup are a neat new thing called fields. You can use one that gives
you a three hit personal shield and lets you pull off some super attacks and 8
or so other fields you can throw at your opponents and cause a ton of different
effects within them. Some increase your attack or defense when you are in them,
others decrease their attack and defense or stun, slow down, and many others to
allow a slew of different combat styles.
In a heated battle, you can attack like crazy with your two weapons, use a
field for backup, switch your current weapons for two new ones in a flash, and
keep the killing spree going. Thanks to the weapons and armor enemies drop,
you'll have a huge variety of combinations to try to increase your power. A
thing i like is that the RPG element goes to the basic, but not so deep as to
make it confusing.
Now for some of the annoyances. There are basically 2.
1)The biggie: the camera. If you played MHF, you know about the camera issue.
It's good, but it can be the cause of a lot of missed hits and restarts. The
scheme is the camera stays fixed until you hit the L button to reset the view to
behind you. It's okay, but can sometimes be frustrating and takes some time
getting used to.
2)The story: There doesn't seem to be much of a story, but you probably
weren't looking for that here though, were ya? There is a cast and stuff going
on that explains why you are killing so much, but it can be hard to follow as it
tells the story in a kinda limited-animation, graphic novel style cutscenes. At
some points, there were cutscenes that acted as if these 'comrades' were right
there with me, but you'll never see them in a fight, only will you see them
chillin on your ship the Quicksilver.
-All in all, the game is basically a fun as heck , hack and slash with a bit of
RPG mixed in. It's fun, and can get repetitive sometimes, but only sometimes.
The camera takes some getting used to and the story is kinda.....lost.
Graphics: Some of the most beautiful stuff on the PSP to date.
Sound: Great music and sounds to go along with the killing.
Gameplay: Takes some practice and time, but the gameplay is pretty solid.
How long will it last: The game can stay fresh thanks to the challenge mode and
ad hoc multiplayer battles. Yet, too much play can give you that bored feeling.
Don't play it too straight.
-A good game overall; sure to please.

Sony
PSP Valkyrie Profile Lenneth Video Game
$38
A lot of people haven't played the original Valkyrie Profile. Check around
here and you'll easily see it going for more than $100. It's ridiculous to pay
that much. Greedy gamers and collectors are like that, and they know some
consumers will pay. However, if you're not up for collecting the original copy,
you could easily shell out the money for this version. It's basically a port of
the original Playstation version with a few tweaks here and there. It beats
paying some greedy collector over one-hundred dollars, doesn't it? Valkyrie
Profile is a unique RPG experience that if you missed six years ago, now you'll
have your chance to play it.
Players of the original often express their love affair with this game and it
isn't entirely hard to see why. Our main hero, Lenneth, is a Valkyrie. Lenneth
serves Odin, the leader of the Gods. In the world of Asgard, a sacred war has
broken out among the Gods. Odin needs brave souls from humans to form an army to
fight. It's Lenneth's job to go to the mortal world of Midgard and find the
brave souls of humans to send to Odin. Valkyrie Profile Lenneth is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
The game spans eight chapters to get you through the game. There is a time
limit, however. Everything you do from resting to trumping through dungeons
takes time. If you're feeling very brave and gutless, you could rest for all
eight chapters and then take on the final boss. Your average gamer, however,
doesn't want to do that, and so you just might opt to go and find those souls.
You can recruit up to fifteen souls (despite that you probably won't need all
fifteen), and only three can enter battle at a time with Lenneth.
As you crawl through dungeons, you'll get the feel of playing some kind of
action/adventure game. For one, you'll go through dungeons running around,
jumping on platforms and shooting ice-crystals, which can also be used to make
platforms. Sometimes it just feels weird but you'll quickly adapt to it.
Sometimes crawling through dungeons feels like a pain because some of the
controls are so awkward. Each dungeon is also crawling with monsters.
Battles are contact-based so if you touch a monster you'll be hurled into
battle where you'll control each character with the use of the buttons on your
PSP. Each button controls one character. The battle system feels refreshing and
original at times. It also calls for a bit more strategy. By timing button
presses you can string together combos, and you can also use magic by pressing
the select button in battle. You won't use magic often (and pressing the select
button to use magic just feels weird), and stringing together combos is usually
enough to thwart any opponent.
Experience points are divided among your characters how you see fit. You will,
of course find it better to spend them on your current party. Although, you
might want to consider spending some experience points on your outside souls
because Odin will be wanting strong souls. Not weak ones. Depending on how you
do this may also affect the ending of the game. To get the better ending you
will have to send Odin strong souls. There are a multitude of endings for you to
get as well. Seeing as how on average it'll only take you twenty hours to
complete the game, going for the different endings is pretty worthwhile.
The best thing about Valkyrie Profile is the music. Some of the best I've heard
in an RPG before. The soundtrack, beautifully conducted, is what makes this game
really worthwhile in the end. It always has the right music at the right time.
Valkyrie Profile also has multiple endings and difficulty levels. Your actions
make a difference in the ending you get. Even better, some endings and souls
can't be obtained unless you're willing to play on different difficulty levels.
This brings Valkyrie Profile's replay value way up.
There are a couple of things that keep Valkyrie Profile from being as fantastic
as other RPGs. For one, the story, while fantastic, is very slow. A lot of
cutscenes are long and spend a lot of time talking and rehashing conversations
that have already taken place. Some cutscenes have voice acting. Some voices are
really good, sounding just the way you want them to sound. Others sound a little
too over-dramatic and over the top at times. Still, for what it's worth the
voice acting is perfect.
However, my biggest gripe with the game is how the recruiting system works. I
didn't play the original Playstation version, you see, and the game does a
horrible job at explaining how to recruit souls. They do a horrible job at
explaining how to organize and manage your party. In other words, the learning
curve to this game is pretty steep. You may need some outside help to get you
going. By the time you yourself learn the bells and whistles of recruiting,
you'll come to see that your team isn't nearly as good as they could be. Luckily
though, once you get it down you can really make a power house team. I just wish
that they had explained it better.
The game also takes a very long time to load. Several PSP games suffer from
this, but Valkyrie Profile suffers a great deal from it. It takes a few seconds
to open the menu and to get things going within the menu. For example, the game
has to load every time you equip a character, use an item, etc. The load times
are horribly long, but they stack up really quickly, especially with how much
you're in the menu. To accompany the often annoying load times, you'll also be
faced with slowdown at some parts. So while it's a port it isn't a fantastic
port. Some of the mechanics didn't make it over to the PSP all that well. Still,
it beats shelling out more than one-hundred dollars from a greedy collector.
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is a fantastic experience for those who want to
re-experience it and for those new to the game itself. It's not as good as the
Playstation original, and it may be another port for the PSP, but it's still an
overall rewarding experience.
Spectral
Souls PSP Video Game $40
Only people that live and breathe to play Strategy RPG's should RENT this
game only. Don't get me wrong I love a good portable SRPG they are a great way
to pass some time (Try Field Commander, LOTR) but this game was unbearable.
Spectral Souls is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
First the CONS:
1. HORRIBLE!!!!! Save feature requires you to create a new save file every time
unless I am doing something wrong.
2. Dry story never pulled me in, I expected a little more from Atlus
3. Long drawn out load times
4. Nothing in the gameplay grabbed me and made me want to explore more.
5. Graphically bland
Now the few PROS:
1. The gameplay isn't all THAT bad, but the story, save feature, and loooong
load times make the gameplay really hard to see.
Please RENT this game at best, but if you don't I firmly believe you won't be
missing anything.
Sony
PSP Daxter Video Game $40
If you've owned a PSP for a long time you've probably kept hearing that it
doesn't have any good games. Daxter proves otherwise. If you've been bored with
all of the games the PSP has now, be bored no longer! Daxter is quite possibly
the best PSP game out there, with awesome graphics, gameplay, story, and many
more features.
If you're a hardcore fan of the Jak and Daxter series like me, then you won't be
disappointed with this game. It does everything great. The story takes place
between Jak 1 and Jak 2. If you remember, at the beginning of Jak 2 Jak arrives
at haven city. He is then immediately captured by the Krimzon Guards, but Daxter
escapes.
Jak is put in prison, and then the game skips 2 years later and you see
how Daxter saves Jak. The game's storyline takes place in those 2 years, and
you'll learn how Daxter saves Jak and what he has done in that time. Daxter is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
At the
beginning of the game, Daxter is offered a job as a bug exterminator. He takes
it, because he hopes that while he goes around exterminating bugs he'll also
find Jak along the way. By the way, these are metal head bugs, so they'll put up
a fight.
Now, first of all, let's get the bad stuff out of the way. This game is kind of
short, and you'll be able to finish it in 10-13 hours. Also, some people might
find it disappointing that haven city is smaller than it was in Jak 2, and there
aren't any people walking in the streets, even though they're flying in zoomers.
However, these are very minor problems, and they don't affect the game in any
very bad way.
Now on to the good things. This game's graphics are absolutely phenomenal. They
are the best graphics on any PSP game out now, and I daresay that they're even
better than the graphics of many PS2 games. I'm not exaggerating. They are
absolutely gorgeous. There is an impressive amount of detail in all of the
environments you'll visit, and they all look very unique and great. Just take a
look at Daxter himself (the character). His fur looks so realistic and cool, and
all of the textures in the game are similar. The character designs are also cool
and unique.
Speaking of characters, here they are. There's Osmo, which is an old man who's
also Daxter's boss at the exterminator shop, yet he's very kind. There's his son
Ximon, who is a surfer kind of guy. There's Osmo's daughter Taryng, which is a
Lara Croft-like gal with a British accent who gives Daxter all of his weapons.
There's Kaeden, some kind of creepy guy who really hates Daxter and his friends.
And there are a few other characters, some of them from the other Jak games,
like Errol and Count Vegar.
Another thing that the Jak series are greatly known for is their variety. Daxter
delivers that too. There is a big variety of missions and things to do, and
you'll do things ranging from simply killing bugs, to chasing a Truck on your
scooter while it shoots bombs at you, to shoot down a bug with a turret while
you're on a vehicle, and more. Also, there's lots of action and platforming to
be done in this game. Like I mentioned earlier, you'll be fighting metal head
bugs, and they're all different and unique. You'll get several weapons in the
game: One being an electric flyswatter, which is basically a melee weapon, a
sprayer which lets you stun enemies, a flamethrower (self explanatory), and a
sonic blaster, which lets you shoot a bomb that creates a shockwave.
You'll also
have to pick up floating green orbs to power up tour sprayer weapons. Other than
that, you also get an upgrade that lets you temporarily fly in the air with your
sprayer, and you'll have to pick up green orbs mid-air in order to fuel your
sprayer and allow you to stay up a longer time. Jumping and flying around makes
up this game's platforming, and its really very fun.
Also there's a bunch of other distractions that keep you busy and allow you to
do things other than doing the main missions. You can roam around Haven city (by
the way, you get a scooter to do it with) searching for secret areas and
collectibles, you can go to levels that you've already played in order to pick
up secrets you might have missed there, and perhaps most importantly, you can
play mini-games called "dream sequences". These are very fun, and in
them, you make Daxter go to sleep on his bed, and he'll have dreams in which
he's the hero, and his dreams take place in movies like lord of the rings, the
matrix, braveheart and more.
They're basically just minigames in which you have
to mash buttons according to what appears on screen, and they're really fun. You
can unlock different combos for your flyswatter and other cool secrets if you
play them. However, you must first collect enough precursor orbs in order to
unlock these dreams.
There is also a multiplayer option called bug combat. You can pick up special
bugs in your main game and use them in this multiplayer option. Each bug has 3
attacks it can use, and it's sort of a turn based rock-paper-scissors game with
RPG elements. Claw attack beats Spit, Spit beats trap, and trap beats claw.
You
also get all kinds of unlockables for this from the main game, if you find them.
You can get power ups that improve your bugs' health, attack, and more. You also
get tokens that you can use in the middle of the combat, and they're things like
shields that protect you from attacks, things that cancel your opponent's move,
things that let you switch your attack after you already picked one, etc.
Overall Daxter is the best PSP game that's ever come out. I hope that other
companies keep making games like this. If they do, the future looks very bright
for the PSP. So if you're a Jak and Daxter fan, or if you just own a PSP, you
should definitely click the pic above and buy this game.
You can also connect your PSP to your PS2 via USB cable, and if you have
Jak X: Combat Racing, you can unlock cool stuff for it from the Daxter game.
These things include: Four different characters to drive as, and a car called
the Daxtermobile.
NHL
07 PSP Video Game $20
I have been a fan of the EA Sports NHL series since 1994, when I bought
NHL Hockey 95 on CD-ROM. Due to my being a research nomad at the moment I do not
play PC games anymore, but I do own a PSP for which I bought NHL 07 the first
day it came out in England.
After having played several matches, my first impression is /very/
positive. The first thing you will notice is that the music is superb, going in
the direction of rock, indie, and metal. Secondly, you will be pleased by the
in-game commentary by Jim Houston and Craig Simpson who add stories about famous
rivalries between the teams currently playing, or about the player who just shot
a goal. This really makes the game as real as seeing hockey live on TV.
In addition to the NHL teams, there are now also the teams from the Czech,
Finnish, German, and Swedish leagues (with license for player names and team
outfits), as well as several national sides (without license). This just adds to
the fascination. NHL 07
is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by

Most importantly, the gameplay is excellent and just feels like real
hockey. I am very impressed by this game and glad I bought it. A great
experience for any hockey fan!
Ultimate
Ghost 'N Goblins PSP Video Game
$30
In the 1980s, when human minds are less sophisticated, many video game
concepts were centered on the theme of "rescuing the princess, saving the
world". Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins utilizes the same concept, and it's
hardly surprisingly - it's a modern take on the original Ghost `n Goblins from
1986.
In this 21st century rendition of this classic game, Knight Arthur returns
(with his armor and, ahem, underwear) to save Princess Prin from the undead,
again. To make the adventure more up-to-date, however, Capcom have added several
new features to it. These include the introduction of 3D graphics, and new
in-game tools and techniques that allow Arthur to defeat the enemies that stand
in his way. Ultimate Ghost 'N Goblins
is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Apart from his usual repertoire of skills, Arthur has a number of new moves up
his sleeves. One of them is the ability to dash, executed when you double tap
left or right quickly. This is helpful when you need to clear an area fast, but
it usually ends up badly due to the large number of enemies that appear on
screen. Arthur also has the aptitude to grab, which makes platforming a little
easier, since he can now hang on the edge of a platform without falling to his
death after a missed jump. Shields are also introduced into the gameplay, which
allow Arthur to repel attacks by simply pressing the down button on the D-Pad.
Despite the new abilities, however, Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins remains insanely
challenging even when played on the easiest of its three difficulty levels. To
put it simply, the game is hard. Enemies will attack you in quick succession.
They will also re-spawn regularly, leaving you with hardly any room to breathe.
Even the platforming is tricky, and it regularly requires you to take a leap of
faith, which tends to result in a fall to your death. Don't be surprised if you
find yourself doing a level over and over again until you get it right. This
isn't necessary a bad thing, but it may discourage the less patient gamers.
To make life a little better, the game throws in some much needed aid. During
the game, you'll find treasure chests, which usually house weapons and magical
skills. As expected, different weapons produce different effects and range. For
example, the lance (a default weapon) attacks reasonably quickly, but flies only
in a straight line. The Boomerang Scythe (a new addition, by the way), on the
other hand, flies a little slower, but has the ability to return to Arthur, thus
clearing enemies that are closing in.
Magical skills are more sophisticated to use, as they require Arthur to be
equipped with armor, as well as to have enough MP. They're, however, much more
powerful in dealing with the undead. The Time Magic, for example, slows time for
everyone except Arthur. The Invincible Magic wraps a force field around Arthur,
rendering any enemy's attacks on him useless for a limited period. These
abilities only reduce the difficulty level slightly though, since you won't be
getting powered-up all the time. You'll still have to be on your toes regularly
to deal with the game's deliberately high demands.
The high level of difficultly wouldn't be the only challenge you'd face when
playing Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins. Unlike many other games, the game actually
forces you to be a completist. Throughout the game, you may encounter some
hard-to-find golden rings. You may think that the collection of these rings is
an optional side quest (think the Mario Bros.'s gold coins) that won't impact
the grand scheme of things. Well, you couldn't be more wrong. The locations of
these rings are usually fairly well hidden, and you'd probably not notice them
when you're just running for your life in most of the levels.
You can run for all you want though, but when you reach the end of 5th
level, you'll find that you won't be able to proceed to the game's final level
without a prerequisite number of golden rings. This is where the warp portals
come in - they'll allow you to return to earlier levels to relive the nightmare.
This time, however, the nightmare will be scarier, because apart from running
for your life, you'll have to hunt for those damn rings as well. But wait, it's
not over yet. Collecting a different required number of rings will also unlock
different endings (three in all) for the game. Again, this could be a welcomed
challenge for the more daring, but an absolute whammy for the uninitiated.
Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins is essentially still a 2D platformer, but the 3D
elements add depth to the already nice graphics. They may look less polished
when compared to the more flashy presentations on other PSP games, but the
unique art style and level of details still look great nonetheless, even by
today's standards.
The soundtrack, though remixed, also brings back some fond (and some not
so fond) memories of myself huffing and puffing through a level of Makaimura
(the Japanese version of the original Ghosts n' Goblins) back in those days. The
sound effects, however, are a little weak, and could do with a little more
variety. Not that I really mind though, because the music is good enough to keep
me contented. The game also comes with an old-school D-pad (attachable to the
PSP's analog button) for those who want to relive the experience of playing the
game on the NES controller. This is a really nice touch that adds some nostalgic
value to the overall package.
In conclusion, Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins may or may not be your cup of tea,
depending on whether you're in for a challenge. Some aspects of it are
frustrating, and it's certainly not an easy one to complete. But in an era when
games are perhaps giving too much leeway to the gamer, it's a game like this
that really dishes out a nice challenge to those who're in need of one. Ultimate
Ghosts `n Goblins is a testament of how solid, challenging gameplay is all
about, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's yearning for a good title on the
PSP.

Godfather:
Mob Wars PSP Video Game $40
It's an enjoyable game, and the premise is cool: you're the guy behind
the scenes of the original movie, doing the Corleones' dirty work. You're the
guy Clamenza tells to "leave the gun. Take the cannoli," you put the
horse head in the director's bed, etc...
Unfortunately, one week after clicking the pic above and purchasing the game,
I've finished both the story mode and mob wars section. I've never played the
console version, but I'd read that there was a free roam mode and driving
missions that were taken out of the PSP version.
That's too bad, cause I think it could have been as good as "Grand Theft
Auto, Liberty City Stories." Instead, missions that you can tell were
supposed to have a driving component suddenly skip ahead, and there's not that
many missions in the story mode. Once you get to the baptism of Michael's
nephew, you start hoping that maybe it will cover some of the story from the
second movie, but no such luck.
The Mob Wars component is supposed to make up for that which was dropped from
the console game, but it's a huge letdown. It's basically like playing Risk.
Instead of rolling dice to compete for a territory, you get a 1st person
shooter mission. But there's only a handful of these, so if you think that the
building you're going into in New Jersey seems exactly like the one you went
into in Brooklyn on a previous turn, you're right. Godfather Mob Wars is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
Once you've figured out that there will be three guys behind the door at a
given point, it's not much of a challenge. And once you figure out that a
"move three territories" card will get you into an enemy family's
compound, you're pretty much done. Each compound is the exact same mission. Go
into two buildings, place a bomb in the basement, and run outside. Repeat in
the second building. Wipe out each rival family's compound and you've won the
game.
And that's it. I was expecting some bonus mission or something that would
unlock once I completed everything, but there wasn't.
The game play is fun, and the music is good. I've been whistling the movie
theme for a week now. I also like that I have a few of my favorite clips from
the movie at the touch of a button, but I'm kind of wishing I'd picked this up
used. What I spent seems like a lot to shell out for a game that doesn't last
that long.
Overall, I think that EA dished out sloppy seconds to the PSP audience to make
a quick buck. I would have rather waited on development, if it would have had
more missions and free play.
Star
Wars Battlefront II PSP Video Game
$20
This is an awesome game, and there are a lot of pros and cons:
Pros:
-Gameplay is awesome, and you don't want to put it down. Star Wars Battlefront
II is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
-Graphics are so good that they look like a console game
-Galactic conquest is as fun as ever. It's not too hard, but it's not a breeze
either. You can choose 4 armies: The droids, the old republic, the rebels, and
the new republic. All armies have their pros and cons (my favorites are the
droids) but it is fun no matter who you choose.
Cons:
-I was extremely disappointed in the challenges mode. It's simply not fun. It is
so simple that I felt like I was playing a gameboy color game.
-playable heroes are extremely overrated. All non Jedi are just plain horrible,
and although Jedi aren't that bad, after I messed around with them a little bit,
I decided that I would much rather be a basic droid.
Overview:
This game is worth clicking the pic above and buying for sure (even if only for
galactic conquest). I own nine games for PSP, and this is my second favorite
(behind madden 2006). Star Wars Battlefront is a great game and I strongly recommend
buying it.

Gun
Showdown Sony PSP Video Game $40
To begin with, this is the same single-player game you may have played on one
of several consoles last year. Well, it's actually a good bit more than that,
but the point is that Gun Showdown does contain all of the original
content--environments, missions, voice acting, and so on--that formed the
centerpiece of the original Gun. The single-player portion has been enhanced
with five new missions that were actually cut from the original version of the
game, and since the voice-over had already been recorded and the missions
plotted out, they were seamlessly reintegrated into the storyline to further
flesh out Colton's vengeful journey.
None of the main gameplay in Gun has been lost or compromised in Showdown.
The game is still free roaming and loading time is at a reasonable minimum by
PSP standards. The controls have been adapted slightly, such that the face
buttons on the PSP now control the camera angle, which is similar to the method
used by Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (a scheme we found to be eminently playable).
A slight aiming assist has been added, which should be helpful given the
relative imprecision of the PSP's control stick. Finally, a weapon toggle has
been added to the D pad for quick switching. Aside from these minor tweaks,
Showdown plays similarly to its console counterparts. Gun Showdown is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above.
At any rate, the new mission we saw had Colton heading off to a mountain
stronghold to take out the villain Kragen to curry favor with Hoodoo Brown, the
mayor of Empire City. These missions will be used to introduce some of Gun
Showdown's weapons in the single-player game; in this mission, Colton was able
to throw dynamite to take out Kragen and his henchmen. Showdown will also offer
two new weapons--throwing knives and a primitive form of land mines--to the mix.
A couple of other small gameplay tweaks have also been made to the story mode.
Primarily, the designers wanted to involve your horse more directly in the
adventure, so you'll now have a horse-whistle item that you can use to summon
your mount directly to you, rather than being forced to go out and look for him
all the time.
In addition to the main plot-driven game, Gun Showdown features six minigames
that you can fire up in a few seconds when you just need to shoot some stuff
during that 10-minute bus ride. Hold the Fort game which has the player manning
a mounted cannon at the top of a hill and then tasked with shooting off
advancing outlaws who are approaching from below.
Another game, called Suppress the Outlaws, is a more traditional first-person
action game set in a Wild West town, where the player has to kill nearby enemies
(which is worth one point) or grab them and lead them back to a base circle to
"arrest" them (which is worth 10 points). The big catch here is that
while you're dragging a guy around, other enemies will be able to shoot him
while they try to hit you. Both of these games plus four other minigames will
track your high score, so you can try to beat your best when the mood strikes.
Finally, Showdown has an arguably important mode that the original Gun
lacked: multiplayer. Five multiplayer maps are included, drawn from the original
game but with some multiplayer-specific elements, such as sniping points, added
in. Up to six players are able to compete in ad hoc mode, and each player
defaults to a different character model on your system, so you always have a
good idea who you're shooting. Another mode called Golden Cross which is similar
to capture the flag, is also available. Finally, there are a multiplayer poker
games available, too, in case you don't happen to have a deck of cards with you.
Gun Showdown looks like a good, solid port of the original game, and more
games from the underrepresented setting of the American Wild West are always a
welcome sight. Aside from a slight drop in frame rate and some less-complex
geometry, it looks like Rebellion has done a good job on the technical end, as
it's managed to essentially re-create Gun in its entirety on the small screen.
Hopefully, all the extra content that's being added to the game will give
Showdown some extra longevity.
Sony
PSP Monster Hunter: Freedom Video Game $40
Monster Hunter Freedom is a hardcore gamer dream and a casual gamers
nightmare. Monster hunter Freedom sets you into a pre- historic type world as a
life of a hunter. Before you start playing you can customize your hunter with a
decent amount of faces, hair styles and colors, skin color and voices.
Also the option of making a male and female hunter. after you made your
hunter, you'll wake up in your house ready to start your life as a hunter. Now
here's hurdle number one that's as far as the "story" is going to take
you. You must be self-motivated to play this game at it's full potential.
The first 11 missions you play are mainly the tutorial mission. It also is
where it will separate the hardcore from the casual/non-gamer because the game
doesn't offer instant gratification. You have to "work for it" so to
speak. Learn the area to find herbs and berries, killing monsters for food and
bones and learning how to use your weapons. Monster Hunter is included in the
top reviews of Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above
cheap price by clicking the pic above.
There is no auto lock for targeting monsters so you have to learn how to
hit the monster on your own. There are mainly 5 different weapon types (Sword
and Shield, Great Sword, Lance, Hammer, Bow Gun) and 1 "secret" type
(Duel Swords) each with their strengths and weaknesses.
If you're still playing after the tutorial mission be prepared to be
hooked. You'll start to fight boss type monster call wyverns. These beasts will
have your blood pumping and fingers shaking as to take down these monsters of
increasing ferocity.
Kill wyverns and carving their body parts to make stronger weapons and
armor is extremely rewarding as it feels you work hard for something that you
can be proud of so to speak.
If you can play pass the slow but necessary start monster hunter freedom
will reward you and your friends with well over 300+ hours of gameplay.
NBA
Live 07 Sony PSP Video Game $40
Let me just start by saying that the only reason you should
"upgrade" from LIVE '06 to LIVE '07 is that it has Steve Nash's
current haircut... No, but seriously, this game is fun, but it's only fun
because it's a basketball game from EA Games. There is no real significant
"upgrade" from Live '06. There ARE however many new features, some
of them good, most of them unnecessary. NBA Live 07 is included in the top reviews of
Sony PSP video games for sale where you can buy at the above cheap price by
clicking the pic above. Here's a list, sorted by
downgrade/midgrade/upgrade:
Downgrade:
GAMEPLAY- Terribly choppy, not smooth at all. There is a lot of pre-programmed
interaction between the defense and offense which is neat, but it doesn't
transition well into the non-pre-programmed interaction. (You'll understand
when you play it).
AI- Very poor. Half of my games consist of the Point Guard standing in one
spot until I steal the ball from him or the clock runs out and he shoots a 3
point shot. WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT: The opposing team will shoot
25-30 three point shots during the course of one game... it's absolutely
ridiculous. They rarely take anything to the rim, and only make about |
